    Hemp Seed is a full spectrum oil that is a part of the cannabis plant (marijuana). This could be one reason why people tend to ignore its benefits and uses. The oil extracted from the hemp seed is very nutritious and very helpful in skin nourishment. All the vitamins and fatty acids in the hemp seed oil will help in keeping the skin healthy.

    Skin Treatment

    The hemp seed helps to strengthen the skin and helps the skin to resist infections. It also comes handy for in treatment for skin issues like:

    There are certain bioactive compounds found in hemp seed oil which helps to lower the blood cholesterol level and protects one of the most precious parts of our body – the heart.

    Hemp seed contains omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in a ratio of 3:1, which is very much beneficial for cardiovascular health. The fatty acid in hemp seed can help in reducing the level of fats that are unhealthy for the body.

    Cannabinoids are present in Hemp seed; this is a chemical that binds to specialized receptors in the brain. It also helps to ease anxiety, especially social anxiety. The hemp seed oil contains anti-depressant effects too. The other fatty acids present in the oil helps in improving the memory and boosts the brain. It also helps in enhancing the mood as well when you inhale it.

    How to use and apply?

    You can also apply the oil directly on the skin, this works well if you have irritation and dry patches on the skin that you wish to soothe quickly. You can apply the oil like this:

    • First, you wash and a dry small area of your upper arm such as crook of your elbow.

    • Apply the hemp seed oil, cover the spot with a bandage and leave it for over a day. Make sure you don’t get the bandage wet.
    • If you feel any redness, itching, burning or any irritation, you can remove and rinse it with water immediately. If not so, then this oil is safe for you. 

    Hemp seed oil benefits the skin in many ways and has many advantages when applied to the skin as well as inside the body. It is considered safe for most of the people and will help to keep your skin moisturized inside out.
