Want healthy and even skin? But these dark spots, acne marks and sun burn disturb your plans. These are the most common skin issues that can concern almost everyone. Now you are frustrated with these problems and can’t deal with them. This causes stress and anxiety in many individuals.

These pigmentation marks generally occur due to multiple reasons like stress, acne, UV exposure, hormonal imbalances and more. You just don’t know the root cause of your pigmentation. That is why you are not able to get rid of them properly.

Pigmentation on skin is a very common issue. For those dealing with pigmentation you need some skincare products that actually help. Taking so many products for one issue and then complexing your own skincare routine is not ideal. The more products you use the more your situation worsens.

Many of these products contain heavy chemicals that might be able to provide short term benefits but in the long run they can cause serious skin issues. The right product must be able to clear pigmentation and must be suitable for term use. A pigmentation cream is the most useful product that can actually help in dealing with uneven skin tone .

    Pigmentation and its root cause

Melanin is responsible for the natural skin colour. It is synthesized by specialised skin cells called melanocytes. Now if melanin is produced in excess amounts in certain areas it can lead to darkening of skin tone in that particular area.

This is known as pigmentation. Melanin over production can be caused due to damage in melanocytes. Darkening of skin at some areas and forming patches of dark spots is called hyperpigmentation. This leads to uneven skin tone.

    Reasons behind pigmentation

    • Sun exposure: Due to regular exposure in the sun, skin often gets tan and pigmented. UV rays of the sun can be triggering melanin production. This causes pigmentation in some areas and forms sun spots. With aging this scenario worsens.
    • Post acne marks: Acne goes away but sometimes due to inflammation on the skin it leaves behind acne spots. This is called Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. It can occur due to peeling or popping pimples.
    • PIH: Post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation can also be affected due to insect bites or burns on the skin. This forms uneven patches on the skin.
    • Hormonal imbalance: When there is some hormonal imbalance in the body it can lead to melanin over production in some regions. This forms uneven dark patches.
    • Melasma: Occurs generally during pregnancy. Melasma is a hormonal condition in which melanin is produced in excess in some regions of the face. Occurs generally around the lips, cheeks and forehead area.
    • Environmental factors: Dust and pollution exposure can make dirt and dead skin cells get accumulated on the skin. When these dead skin cells don’t shed naturally the process slows down which leads to uneven skin tone in some areas.

All these problems can be solved by using a cream for uneven skin tone.

    Science behind pigmentation cream

Pigmentation creams are cosmetic formulations that are meant to take care of visible uneven skin tone and dark patches on the face. Used to remove dark spots, acne marks, sun spots and melasma spots. It helps in speedy shedding of dead skin cells. These are a vital cosmetic product for uneven skin spots.

How does a pigmentation cream work?

    • Melanin control: These creams include ingredients that help in reducing melanin over production by binding to an enzyme called tyrosinase which is responsible for melanin synthesis. When melanin is reduced pigmentation is getting corrected with time.
    • Skin renewal: Pigmentation creams fasten the shedding of accumulated dead skin cells on the face that cause uneven skin tone.
    • Anti-oxidant activity: There are anti-oxidants present in pigmentation creams. They help in removing the free radicals created by pollution, UV rays and environmental damage. It also reduces the dullness due to pollution and sunlight.
    • Skin rehabilitation: These creams help in skin recovery by reducing inflammation and dull skin. It also hydrates the skin and gives it a natural skin tone.

    Ingredients that are helpful

    • Liposomal tranexamic acid: This is a microscopic lipid sphere. It uses a targeted delivery approach that helps in providing longer action . It penetrates deep into the skin and helps clearing out the dark spots by blocking melanin. It is very suitable for melasma skin. It also reduces skin inflammation.
    • Alpha arbutin: It is a plant derived ingredient. It is an alternative for hydroquinone which is unsafe that makes alpha arbutin a safer choice of ingredient. It inhibits the functioning of the tyrosinase enzyme so reduces melanin production eventually. With continuity it helps in fading dark spots, uneven skin tone and sun burn.
    • Niacinamide (vitamin B3): It is an antioxidant which works wonderfully on the skin. It does so by blocking the pathway of melanin(pigmenting agent). This prevents melanin from reaching the skin surface. It works to help repair the skin barrier function and promotes natural skin glow. It helps in getting an even skin tone.

These ingredients when formulated together make a great pigmentation cream and helps remove skin unevenness very well.

    Key takeaway

Pigmentation can usually be challenging and stubborn to deal with but it does not mean it cannot be managed. Pigmentation on the face can be reduced using the right type of product like cream for uneven skin tone. This kind of product helps in reducing dark spots and other pigmentation concerns and has no after effects. It is an easy to use single product for pigmentation related concerns.
